In the early classes, I encourage people to "pause for a moment" to build situational awareness. This means paying attention to small but important details while maintaining a calm, confident mindset. These foundational skills are crucial for creating a positive connection with your dog.

Unlearning outdated dog training advice can be tough, especially when you're simultaneously learning modern, effective methods to bond with and guide your pup. But this journey is worth it—it leads to the kind of relationship with your dog that you’ve always wanted.

When I notice someone losing focus or slipping out of that calm, assertive state dogs respect and respond to, I step in with a reminder: "Pause for a moment." This simple pause allows us to regroup, assess the situation, and figure out what went wrong, why it happened, and how to handle it better next time. It’s not just about training—it’s about making purposeful, impactful choices that help your dog thrive.

Hi! My name is Joe, and I love training dogs.

With over 15 years of experience across a wide range of training styles—from Basic Obedience to advanced Military Working Dog techniques—I’ve worked with all kinds of pups and personalities.

While I specialize in breeds like Belgian Malinois, German Shepherds, Pit Bulls, and Labs, I’ve had success with every breed I’ve worked with. In fact, I’ve trained and rehabilitated more than 1,000 dogs during my career, with most achieving success in just six weeks.

Beyond my professional training, I’ve also adopted, rehabilitated, and rehomed over 50 street dogs on my own dime. Right now, I’m working with two more rescues, helping them prepare for their forever homes.

My Mission is simple:
I provide affordable, high-quality canine behavioral consultations because I believe every family deserves the chance to enjoy life with their pup—without breaking the bank. At just $60/hour, my services make expert training accessible to everyone. I often go over the hour because I genuinely love what I do, and I want you to feel confident about the progress we’re making.

To ensure the best results, I limit myself to just two training sessions per day. This allows me to give each client and their dog the time, energy, and attention they deserve.
